Here at Whangamata Surf School you can be sure you are in the best hands when it comes to learning to surf in a safe and professional environment. Whangamata surf school is the longest operating School in the area with many years of teaching all ages to surf and be safe in the ocean under the belt.
Owner & operators husband and wife team Greville & Allie Walsh have surfed all corners of the globe and devoted their lives to surfing. They are experienced surf instructors & lifeguards and have owned and operated surf schools in both New Zealand and Europe. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with all students who come to them to learn, they also ensure all of their instructors are certified Surf Instructors and Lifeguards as safety is the number one priority when entering the ocean. Greville & Allie have had hundreds of happy students learn to surf in their schools over the years and can’t wait to welcome new faces.
